About Eden

Hey there, I’m Eden Alon!

(He/Him)—a Myrtle Beach native, accessibility coach, and disability advocate with a big heart for helping others find their voice and thrive in their community.

I’m proudly autistic, and that lived experience is what first led me to disability advocacy. For over five years, I’ve worked with nonprofits like Able SC and volunteered with local community orgs, supporting teens and young adults with disabilities in building confidence, independence, and pride in who they are. I hold a Master’s degree in Communication, where I focused on disability studies, interpersonal communication, and corporate social responsibility.

At the heart of my work is a belief that disabled people deserve more than just survival—they deserve to thrive. I use a strengths-based coaching model rooted in the Independent Living Philosophy, the Neurodiversity Paradigm, and the Social Model of Disability. I believe in community integration, self-determination, and that people with disabilities should be the ones leading the charge for change—because we understand our needs best.

Growing up here in Myrtle Beach, I struggled to make friends, figure out who I was, and feel proud of my disability. That’s why I created this coaching service—to be the kind of support I wish I had. Whether you’re working on life skills, communication, trying to make new friends, or just figuring out the next step, my goal is to help you walk away from each session with 5% more clarity, confidence, or direction—and to keep building from there.

About You

If any of those questions sound familiar, you’re not broken. You don’t have to figure this out alone. I’m here to help. Let’s talk about what support could look like for you.

  • Maybe you’ve caught yourself asking things like:

    • Am I weird, or is this actually harder for me?

    • Why does everything feel more complicated than it seems for other people?

    • Why can’t I get a job, even when I’m trying?

    • Why do interviews or small talk feel so awkward?

    • Why I don’t have friends?

    • Why do I need more support, and does that mean I’m failing?

    • Am I lazy, or am I just burned out?

    • How do I advocate for myself without feeling annoying or embarrassed?

    • What does “independence” even mean for me?

    • Why is it so hard for me to stay consistent with my goals?

Fun facts about me:

  • I’m a voice actor on the side! I love bringing characters (and the occasional spooky radio ad) to life.

  • I gave a speech at the South Carolina State House in Columbia about transportation access for disabled folks. Over 100 people were there—it was nerve-wracking but worth it.

  • I’m a big-time nerd. I love all kinds of video games—CRPGs, real-time strategy, first-person shooters, and more. Besides that, if you mention Pathfinder, Magic: The Gathering, or anything in the Star Wars / Warhammer / Transformers / Half-Life / Lord of the Rings universe, I will light up.

  • I taught human communication labs as a grad assistant and have a background in tutoring public speaking. I even gave the commencement speech for my cohort!

  • My favorite comic book hero? Superman. Always has been.

  • I went to Coastal Carolina University for my Bachelor’s in Communication (with a minor in Philosophy) and later earned my Master’s in Communication from Clemson University, where I focused on Disability Studies and Public Relations. Go Tigers! I’m proud to represent both schools and the journey they helped shape.

  • Proud Lover of dad jokes and puns—because good humor keeps us afloat (and I’m all about staying buoyant).
